Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam issued Circular 29/2020/TT-BTTTT providing guidance on appointment and salary arrangement for information-technology public employees
Circular 29 provides guidance on salary arrangement for public employees working in information technology after completing their probation period and being appointed to professional titles in Vietnam. To be specific:
- In cases where recruited public employees have relevant doctoral training for the job position, they are classified at rank 3, with a salary coefficient of 3.00, according to the salary scale for public employees of category A1;
- In cases where recruited public employees have relevant master's training for the job position, they are classified at rank 2, with a salary coefficient of 2.67, according to the salary scale for public employees of category A1;
- In cases where recruited public employees have relevant undergraduate training for the job position, they are classified at rank 1, with a salary coefficient of 2.34, according to the salary scale for public employees of category A1;
- In cases where appointed to the professional title of System Administrator grade IV (code V11.06.15), Software Developer grade IV (code V11.08.22):
