General Department of Taxation of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 2455/TCT-DNNCN dated 12/7/2022 on deploying and operating e-invoices and documents.

Currently, the e-invoice system has met the demand for looking up e-invoices on the e-Gateway and via voltage in Vietnam (the full content of the invoice can be looked up).

Regarding the sharing of databases with relevant agencies, the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam has issued Official Dispatch 1737/TCT-QLRR dated May 23, 2022, instructing tax authorities at all levels to sign the Model Regulation on the exchange of information on electronic invoices.

In the Regulation and official dispatch, there are detailed instructions for tax authorities at all levels to work and discuss with local state administrative management agencies such as market management agencies, public security agencies or other agencies. The agency has procedural and investigative activities to sign this Regulation.

The content of information exchange will be signed by tax authorities at all levels on the basis of state management requirements and implementation of specific administrative procedures of each external agency or organization.

At the same time, in order to promptly meet the requirements for information exchange, the General Department of Taxation (Risk Management Board and Department of Information Technology of Vietnam) is urgently completing professional requirements documents to build an application to meet the needs of providing information according to the requirements of the Ministry of Finance. Regulation.

If tax authorities at all levels receive information requests from other local state management agencies, they should consult with the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam (Risk Management Board) for additional guidance.
