Guidance on Customs Clearance for Group 2 Goods under the Ministry of Information and Communications

The Ministry of Information and Communications issued Official Dispatch No. 2304/BTTTT-CVT to the General Department of Customs regarding the quality inspection of products and goods in group 2 under the management responsibility of the Ministry.

To be specific, the Ministry of Information and Communications requests the General Department of Customs direct Customs Sub-Departments to clear products and goods of Group 2 as follows:

Before August 1, 2018:

- Enterprises must present Certificate of Conformity (for goods listed in Appendix I of Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT) and Receipt of Standard Compliance Declaration (for goods listed in Appendix II of Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT) when carrying out customs clearance procedures.- If the above documents are not available, a declaration of commitment must be sent to the Customs Authority and the Telecommunications Department - Ministry of Information and Communications, stating the completion of conformity certification and declaration procedures within 15 working days from the date of customs clearance.

From August 1, 2018: Importing enterprises must present the Registration for Quality Inspection with confirmation from the specialized inspection agency (Telecommunications Department) as per Decree 74/2018/ND-CP.

Official Dispatch 2304/BTTTT-CVT was issued on July 17, 2018.
