The Ministry of Justice has just signed Decision 537/QD-BTP on the announcement of amended and supplemented administrative procedures in the field of lawyers under the state management jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice.

The application dossier and procedures for the issuance of the lawyer practice certificate have been amended as follows:

Application dossier: the documents specified in Decision 2007/QD-BTP dated September 26, 2016 still apply, but the following documents are added:

An explanatory document and commitment regarding the efforts to comply with the Constitution and law, possessing good moral character and certification from the agency or organization where the person last worked prior to the time of requesting the Lawyer Practice Certificate, or from the commune police of the place where the person resides (for those cases specified in clause 2, Article 2a of Decree 137/2018/ND-CP).

Regarding fees and charges:

- Processing fee: 100,000 VND per dossier.- Service fee: 800,000 VND per dossier
