From January 23, 2020: Priority in the admission process is given to certain subjects in Vietnam

This is the new content mentioned at Decree 141/2020/ND-CP

According to Clause 5, Article 6 of Vietnam's Decree 141/2020/ND-CP, learners who fully meet the enrollment criteria if they fall into one of the following cases, they will be given priority in the university, college, or intermediate entrance exam in the following order:

  • Children of martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, persons with certificates of persons entitled to the same policies as war invalids;
  • Students from high schools for ethnic minorities;

  • Being accepted into universities, colleges, or intermediate schools during the year they were considered for admission;

  • Having won prizes in competitions for excellent students at district level and above.

Note: If a student is eligible for multiple priorities at the same time, he/she will only be entitled to the one highest priority in enrollment and election.
