On August 14, 2023, the Government promulgated a Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP on application of granting electronic visas to citizens of countries and territories; international checkpoints allowing foreigners to enter and exit by electronic visas.
According to the Resolution, from August 15, 2023, e-visas will be granted to citizens of all countries and territories.
Lists of International checkpoints (ports) allowing foreigners to enter and exit by electronic visas is also published, including 13 airports, 16 landports and 13 seaports.
The following 13 airports are cited as an example for the mentioned lists of ports allowing foreigners to enter and exit by electronic visas:
- Noi Bai International Airport.
- Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
- Cam Ranh International Airport.
- Da Nang International Airport.
- Cat Bi International Airport.
- Can Tho International Airport.
- Phu Quoc International Airport.
- Phu Bai International Airport.
- Van Don Airport.
- Tho Xuan Airport.
- Dong Hoi Airport.
- Phu Cat Airport.
- Lien Khuong Airport.
In addition, the Government of Vietnam has assigned the Prime Minister to direct regulatory agencies to implement necessary measures to ensure the national sovereignty and security, social order and safety during the implementation of Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP.
** An e-visa, according to the Law on amendments to certain Articles of the Law on Entry and Exit of Vietnamese Citizens and Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam in 2023, which comes into force from August 15, 2023, has its validity extended from not exceeding 30 days to 90 days, and may be used for one or multiple entries.
Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP comes into force from August 15, 2023 and replaces Resolution No. 79/NQ-CP dated May 25, 2020 and Resolution No. 60/NQ-CP dated April 27, 2022.
