On June 30, 2022, the Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam issued Circular 07/2022/TT-BTTTT amending Circular 46/2017/TT-BTTTT stipulates standards for professional titles of sound officers , broadcaster, videographer, cinematographer majoring in Information and Communication.
Specifically, the standards of training and retraining for broadcasters no longer require foreign language and computer science certificates in Vietnam as follows:
(1) Class I, Class II and Class III broadcasters in Vietnam:
- Have a university degree or higher;
- Having a certificate of training according to the standards of professional titles of public servants specializing in broadcasters.
(2) Class IV broadcasters in Vietnam:
- Have a high school diploma or higher;
- Having a certificate of training according to the standards of professional titles of public servants specializing in broadcasters.
Compared with the regulations of Vietnam's Circular 46/2017/TT-BTTTT, the requirements for certificates of foreign language and computer proficiency for broadcasters have been removed as follows:
- Class I broadcaster: The requirements for certificates of foreign language proficiency level 4 (B2) and certificates of basic information technology use have been removed;
- Class II broadcaster: The requirements for certificates of foreign language proficiency level 3 (B1) and certificates of basic information technology use have been removed;
- Class III broadcaster: The requirements for certificates of foreign language proficiency level 2 (A2) and certificates of basic information technology use have been removed;
- Class IV broadcaster: The requirement for a certificate of foreign language proficiency level 1 (A1) has been removed.
Circular 07/2022/TT-BTTTT takes effect from August 15, 2022, Vietnam.
