From 2018, apartment buildings in Vietnam are required to install cluster mailboxes

The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam issued Circular No. 30/2017/TT-BTTTT to provide for installation of public post boxes at urban areas, residential areas and cluster mailboxes at apartment buildings and office buildings.

According to Circular No. 30/2017/TT-BTTTT of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam, the installation of cluster mailboxes at apartment buildings and office buildings is prescribed as follows:

- When building an apartment building or an office building, the investor is liable to install cluster mailboxes;

- With regard to an operating apartment building or office building where cluster mailboxes are not yet installed, the managing board or the unit in charge of managing and operating such apartment building or office building shall have the responsibility for arranging the location and organizing the installation of cluster mailboxes;

- The investor, the managing board or the unit in charge of managing and operating the apartment building or office building shall decide the quantity and locations for installing cluster mailboxes in such apartment buildings or office buildings.

Circular No. 30/2017/TT-BTTTT of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam takes effect from January 01, 2018, annulling Decision No. 31/2008/QĐ-TTg.
