Foreign-invested higher education institutions may establish branch campuses in Vietnam

This is a new point related to foreign-invested educational institutions specified in Decree No. 86/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government on foreign cooperation and investment in education.

According to Decree No. 86/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, permissible forms of foreign-invested educational institutions include:

-  Short-term training institutions;

- Pre-school educational institutions;

- Compulsory educational institutions (elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, universal schools);

- Higher educational institutions

- Branch campuses of foreign-invested higher education institutions in Vietnam.

Besides, Decree No. 86/2018/NĐ-CP also issued an Appendix including 21 applications and decisions related to foreign investment in education in Vietnam.
