This is the solution that has just been approved by the Government of Vietnam in Resolution 125/NQ-CP on simplification of administrative procedures and citizen documents related to population management under the management of Vietnam Social Security.

the Government of Vietnam resolves to simplify certain administrative procedures as follows:

- Regarding procedures for maternity benefit settlement: Remove the documentation requirement as stipulated in Points a and b, Clause 1, Article 101 of the 2014 Law on Social Insurance, including:- A copy of the child's birth certificate or birth notification;- A copy of the child's death certificate in case of the child's death, or a copy of the mother's death certificate in case the mother dies after childbirth.- Regarding procedures for death benefit settlement: Remove the documentation requirement as stipulated in Point b, Clause 1, Article 111 of the 2014 Law on Social Insurance, including:- A copy of the death certificate or death notice; or- A copy of the court's decision declaring the person to be dead that has taken legal effect.
