Recently, Vietnam Social Security issued Official Dispatch 4894/BHXH-CSXH in 2018 guiding the adjustment of pensions for female workers.

Vietnam Social Security sends Decree 153/2018/ND-CP to Social Security Offices in provinces and centrally governed cities to implement and organize the following requirements:

- Adjust pension according to the regulations in Decree 153/2018/ND-CP for subjects under management authority;- Disburse outstanding amounts of increased pension differences between the old and new pension levels for female workers starting to receive a pension from January 01, 2018 to before the date of receiving a new pension under Decree 153/2018/ND-CP;- Create a report on the results of adjusted subjects and the total increased pension fund of the previous year, to be sent to the Social Security Policy Implementation Department before January 10 of the following year.

For Social Security of the Ministry of National Defense and Social Security of the People's Public Security: Carry out the pension adjustment for cases under management authority starting to receive a pension from the effective date of Decree 153/2018/ND-CP.
