Fees for safety inspection of fishing vessels and equipment on intermediate fishing vessels in Vietnam from 2022
On November 2, 2021, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam promulgated Circular 94/2021/TT-BTC stipulating collection rates, collection modes, manage and use fees for registration of technical safety of fishing vessels, inspection of fishing equipment; fees for assessment and certification of the origin of aquatic materials; fee for appraisal of conditional business in the fisheries sector; fees for issuance of licenses for fishing and fishing activities.

According to the Circular, fees for technical safety inspection of fishing vessels and equipment on intermediate fishing vessels (onboard) include:
- Check the hull of the ship by volume: 3,500 VND/GT.
- Checking the ship's engine (Total capacity of main engine + auxiliary engine): 2,720 VND/KW.
- Marine equipment: 105,000 VND/time/system.
- Radio equipment: 131,000 VND/time/system.
- Means of signaling: 41,000 VND/time/system.
- Lifesaving means: 105,000 VND/time/system.
- Fishing equipment: 140,000 VND/time/system.
- Equipment requiring strict safety is equipped on fishing vessel including pressure vessel and refrigeration equipment such as:
+ Refrigeration equipment under 30,000 kcal/h is 1,275,000 VND/system;
+ Refrigeration equipment from 30,000 kcal/h to 50,000 kcal is 1,875,000 VND/system;...
(The above fees apply in Vietnam from January 1, 2022).
