Failure to Vaccinate Dogs Against Rabies: Fine Reduced to 600,000 VND

This is a notable regulation officially passed by the Government of Vietnam in Decree 90/2017/ND-CP on penalties for administrative violations in the field of veterinary science.

fines ranging from VND 600,000 to VND 800,000 for the following acts:

- Failure to vaccinate dogs against rabies (replacing the fine ranging from VND 2,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 as stipulated in Decree 41/2017/ND-CP);- Failure to muzzle dogs or keep dogs on a leash, or without a handler when taking dogs to public places.

Additionally, Decree 90 stipulates a fine ranging from VND 2,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 for:

- Failure to conduct monitoring of animal diseases at the establishment as directed by veterinary management authorities;- Failure to monitor, record the disease prevention, treatment, and disease control process for animals.

Refer to Decree 90/2017/ND-CP, effective from September 15, 2017, which abolishes certain articles, clauses, and points of Decree 119/2013/ND-CP and Decree 41/2017/ND-CP.
