Facilitating entry for foreigners without a visa

On January 18, 2022, the Government Office issued Official Letter 450/VPCP-QHQT on immigration settlement for foreigners, overseas Vietnamese and their relatives.

Accordingly, agreeing with the policy of facilitating entry procedures for foreigners, Vietnamese residing abroad with relatives returning home. Specifically:

- For foreigners, overseas Vietnamese and their relatives with valid entry documents (permanent residence card, temporary residence card, visa, valid visa exemption certificate) are allowed to enter Vietnam. according to the provisions of the Law on entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam and Decree 82/2015/ND-CP without having to re-do procedures for personnel inspection, visa/certificate Visa exemption, no need to apply for approval of the immigration policy of the ministry, branch or locality.

- For foreigners who do not have visas : Provincial People's Committees continue to consider and approve to create favorable conditions for cases of entry to work, attend conferences, seminars, study, humanitarian... in the locality. provincial table ; Ministries, branches and agencies under the Central Government shall proactively decide on the invitation, welcome and take responsibility for managing foreigners working with their agencies.
