This is a notable new point in Regulation 102-QD-TW on the handling of disciplinary actions against Communist Party members who violate rules, issued by the Central Executive Committee on November 15, 2017.
Communist Party members who commit any of the following social vices shall be expelled from the Communist Party:
- Usury; debt collection through illegal actions in any form;- Organizing the production, sale, circulation, or dissemination of prohibited or harmful cultural products;- Illicit production, storage, sale, transportation, or organization of illegal use of narcotics;- Organizing and facilitating prostitution; organizing prostitution activities; providing protection for prostitution; exploiting business services for prostitution activities;- Masterminding, initiating, or organizing gambling in any form, or having been penalized for gambling but continuing to reoffend.
