Expenses for organizing meeting to appraise general textbooks from June 15, 2021 in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Circular 29/2021/TT-BTC elaborating the management of appraisal funding general education textbook.

According to the Circular, the guidelines for organizing a meeting to evaluate textbooks in Vietnam are as follows:

- Expenses for renting halls, meeting rooms, and equipment for appraisal meetings (if any) are made according to actual arising. These actual expenses must have sufficient vouchers and invoices as prescribed.

- Expenses for refreshments between hours according to Vietnam's Circular 40/2017/TT-BTC (currently regulated at 20,000 VND/session (half a day)/person);

- Expenses for transportation and room rentals for members of the Appraisal Council during the appraisal meeting according to the spending levels specified in Circular 40;

Circular 40: Expenses for meal allowances for members of the Appraisal Council during the appraisal meeting in accordance with the level of accommodation allowances specified in Circular 40 and documents of ministries, branches, and localities guiding Circular 40;

- Expenses for the appraisal meeting:

+ Maximum of 200,000 VND/person/session for the Chairman of the Appraisal Council of Vietnam.

+ Up to 150,000 VND/person/session for the Vice President, member, and secretary of the Appraisal Council of Vietnam.
