Exemption of Toll Fees for Rescue and Salvage Vehicles

This is the newly added content in Decree 83/2017/ND-CP regulating the rescue and firefighting work of the fire prevention and fighting force.

Vehicles engaged in rescue operations are granted certain privileges as follows:

- Vehicles belonging to the firefighting and rescue agency are granted priority road signals when on duty;- Motor vehicles of agencies, organizations, and individuals that are mobilized for rescue missions are granted:- Priority in rescue areas;- Priority when crossing bridges and ferries;- Free road circulation.

Additionally, Decree 83 stipulates that in urgent cases such as creating access routes to the injured, preventing or eliminating factors threatening the life and health of the injured, rescue operations may involve demolishing houses, structures, obstacles, and relocating assets.

Decree 83/2017/ND-CP took effect on October 4, 2017.
