Establishment of a Task Force to Address Obstacles Regarding Local Health Insurance

This is one of the solutions proposed in Announcement 1286/TB-BYT-BHXHVN regarding conclusions at the Conference on resolving issues in health insurance (BHYT) medical examinations and treatments.

The Ministry of Health will issue a written guidance for localities to establish Task Forces to address concerns regarding Health Insurance.

The Task Forces will include members representing the Department of Health, Provincial Social Insurance, Department of Finance...with the objective of promptly addressing questions related to health insurance policies.

Additionally, the Ministry of Health and Vietnam Social Security have introduced several other measures, such as:

- Establishing a specialized unit for health insurance work to advise the Director of the Department of Health on directing health insurance medical examination and treatment work;- Forming independent medical councils to review cases of disagreements or unmet consensus in expertise between medical examination and treatment facilities and the social insurance agency.
