Ensuring 100% of Servers and Workstations Have Malware Protection Solutions

On May 25, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued Directive 14/CT-TTg on enhancing the capacity for preventing and combating malicious software.

To be specific, the Prime Minister has directed ministries, agencies, and People's Committees (PCs) to implement several measures to enhance the capabilities to prevent and combat malware, notably:

- November 2018: Complete the identification of information systems of levels 4 and 5;- Strengthen the use of digital signatures for the electronic documents of units and organizations;- December 2018: Ensure that 100% of servers, workstations, and related end devices have anti-malware solutions in place;- Instruct subordinate agencies and units to review, assess, and inspect electronic devices connected to the internet when purchased;- Periodically conduct comprehensive inspections and assessments of information security as stipulated in Decree 85/2016/ND-CP;
