According to the recent directive of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam in Directive 34/CT-TTg, to strictly implement energy saving measures, households and service business establishments are to implement the following solutions:
- Use high-efficiency electrical devices with energy labels;- Implement several electricity-saving measures such as:- Completely cut the power source if electrical devices are not in use;- Set cooling policies to 25^0^C or higher, or set a temperature difference policy between the room and outside from only 3 to 5 degrees Celsius;- Do not use incandescent bulbs during replacement or new purchases;- Limit the use of air conditioners, water heaters, electric irons, etc., during peak hours from 5 PM to 8 PM daily;- Service businesses, commercial restaurants, hotels, etc., should be ready to cut or reduce electricity usage when notified by the Local Power Company in case of electricity shortage.
