This is one of the notable contents of Official Dispatch 2329/BYT-CNTT regarding the provision of information related to respiratory diseases for COVID-19 prevention and control.
To proactively prevent the COVID-19 pandemic from spreading in the community, the National Steering Committee requests the Departments of Health to direct each retail pharmacy to be a checkpoint, specifically:
- When people come to buy medication for respiratory diseases or exhibit symptoms such as: fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, the retail pharmacy must guide them to declare their health status before selling them the medication;- The retail pharmacy must fully and strictly implement the infection prevention measures as directed by the Ministry of Health during its operations, such as: wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, maintaining distance from customers, etc.;- In addition to guiding people to declare their health status when buying medication, the retail pharmacy must report to the local authorities or via the hotline receiving information about COVID-19 for monitoring and oversight.
