Recently, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 27/2021/TT-BTC amending and supplementing a number of articles in Circular 19/2014/TT-BTC to prescribe procedures for temporary import, re-export, destruction and transfer of cars, two-wheeled vehicles of beneficiaries of privileges and immunities in Vietnam.
Clause 3 Article 1 Circular 27 has amended and supplemented the provisions on application for temporary import permit for cars and motorcycles in Clause 1 Article 4 Circular 19.
According to this Circular, the dossier of application for temporary import permit for cars and motorbikes in Vietnam from June 2, 2021 includes:
The Circular request for temporary importation of cars and motorbikes according to Appendix I issued together with Circular 27: 01 original;
- ID card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (for the subjects specified in Clause 2 and Clause 3, Article 2 of Circular 19): 01 copy from the original and present the original for comparison;
- Certificate of the agency where the subject works in Vietnam on the move of property or transfer from another country to Vietnam (for the subjects specified in Clause 2 and Clause 3 Article 2 of Circular 19): 01 original;
- Tax exemption norm book issued by the State Reception Department - Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an agency authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 01 copy from the original and present the original for comparison, unless the tax exemption norm book has been updated to the national one-stop shop portal and the temporary import exceeds the quantity in Vietnam as decided by the Prime Minister;
- Documents proving the ownership of cars and motorcycles.
