Do Not Use Interaction Activity Results for Emulation and Commendation Evaluation

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has sent Official Dispatch No. 6122/BGDDT-TDKT on addressing the issue of achievement syndrome in education to the Departments of Education and Training as well as universities, academies, colleges, and intermediate schools.

Through that, the Ministry requires units to implement the following contents:

- Do not use the results of exams or exchange activities organized by localities to evaluate competition rankings or consider rewards for individuals or units;- Review, amend, supplement, and replace documents that are no longer appropriate and may lead to achievements syndrome in education (ED);- Develop plans to improve the quality of education for each year and semester, suitable to the local realities;- Do not organize educational activities that are contrary to regulations, causing pressure for teachers, students, and parents;- Detect and strictly handle all negative behaviors and manifestations in teaching, learning, and achievements syndrome in education;- Strengthen information and communication work about the requirement of genuine teaching and learning.

Official Dispatch 6122/BGDDT-TDKT was issued on December 28, 2017.
