Discouraging Trade with China During the Epidemic

This is a notable provision in Directive 06/CT-TTg on strengthening measures against the complex new developments of the acute respiratory disease caused by the novel strain of the Corona virus, issued on January 31, 2020.

To be specific, in response to the increasingly severe and complicated developments of the Corona epidemic, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam directs:

- Temporarily suspend flight permits for all flights from epidemic areas in China to Vietnam and vice versa;- Limit large gatherings, especially festivals; temporarily suspend festivals that have not yet commenced; reduce the scale of ongoing festivals; require citizens to wear masks in public places and limit spring travels and festival attendance;- Strictly prohibit hoarding, stockpiling, and price gouging of masks, medical supplies, and equipment for epidemic prevention and control;- Temporarily close trails and openings; discourage trade and exchanges with China during the epidemic period;- Be prepared to implement school closures for students when the epidemic breaks out;- ...
