Recently, the General Department of Customs issued Official Dispatch 5563/TCHQ-TXNK regarding the detailed explanatory notes of the HS nomenclature, collection of classification opinions version 2017.

Attached to this Official Dispatch is the translation of the Detailed Explanatory Notes of the HS Nomenclature and the Compilation of Classification Opinions according to the 2017 edition of the Detailed Explanatory Notes of the HS Nomenclature and the Compilation of Classification Opinions by the World Customs Organization, serving as the official reference material for the classification of exported and imported goods according to the Vietnam Export and Import Goods Nomenclature.

During the implementation process, in case of discrepancies between the Vietnamese and English descriptions of goods, the English description of goods shall be directly applied.

Feedback on translation can be sent to the General Department of Customs to improve the nomenclature in future versions.
