Delayed Distribution of Disaster Forecast Bulletins may Incur a Fine of up to 30 Million VND

This is the new penalty added in Decree 84/2017/ND-CP amending and supplementing Decree 173/2013/ND-CP on regulations for administrative sanction in the field of meteorology, hydrology, surveying, and mapping.

Adds certain fines for violations regarding the transmission and broadcasting of meteorological and hydrological forecast and warning bulletins as follows:

- Transmitting or broadcasting meteorological and hydrological forecast and warning bulletins without specifying the source: Fine from 3 - 5 million VND;- Incomplete transmission or broadcasting of the content of meteorological and hydrological disaster forecast and warning bulletins: Fine from 10 - 20 million VND;- Delayed transmission or broadcasting of meteorological and hydrological disaster forecast and warning bulletins compared to the regulated time: Fine from 20 - 30 million VND;

At the same time, increasing the fine for acts of transmitting or broadcasting the wrong information in meteorological and hydrological disaster forecast and warning bulletins: Fine from 40 - 50 million VND instead of the current fine of 10 - 20 million VND.

Decree 84/2017/ND-CP effective from September 10, 2017.
