Decree 52: 3 Principles of Golf Course Construction Investment and Business

Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 52/2020/ND-CP on investment in construction and business of golf courses.

The investment, construction, and business activities of golf courses must ensure the following principles:

- The investment, construction, and business activities of golf courses aim to promote socio-economic development, services, tourism, and sports; meet the demand for diversifying forms of entertainment and recreation, and enhance physical fitness and public health;- The implementation of golf course projects must not adversely affect national defense, security, social order, public safety, social ethics, public health, the environment, natural resources, historical-cultural monuments, and scenic spots recognized and protected by competent state agencies under the provisions of the law; ensure the legitimate rights, interests, and social welfare of those whose land is reclaimed for the construction of golf courses;- The land used for the construction of golf courses must conform to land use planning and plans; ensure proper, economical, and effective use; meet the conditions and procedures as prescribed.
