Recently, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued the Decision No. 34/2020/QĐ-TTg introducing classification list of occupations of Vietnam.
According to the Decision No. 34/2020/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, the Vietnam Occupation Classification comprise 5 tiers (Appendix I):
- Tier 1: Skills.
This indicator shows the levels of difficulty and complicatedness of occupations.
- Tier 2 through Tier 5: Areas of expertise.
This indicator includes types of specialty specific to areas of expertise acquired through training or experience obtained during working periods of time.
Note: The formulation of the Vietnam Occupation Classification must ensure the following principles:
- Ensuring completeness: Reflecting all jobs in socio-economic activities in our country in a certain period;
- Ensuring inheritance: Inheriting occupations that have been well applied in the Population and Housing Census and other surveys;
- Ensuring feasibility: The profession must be collected data in reality;
- Ensuring updating: Update new occupations arising in a certain period of time;
- Ensuring international comparison.
