Circular 02/2020/TT-BNNPTNT stipulating the economic criteria for farms was issued on February 28, 2020.

From April 14, 2020, farm economic criteria are determined as follows:

- For specialized farms:

- Cultivation: The average production value must reach VND 1.0 billion/year or more, and the total production land area must be from 1.0 ha or more;- Aquaculture: The average production value must reach VND 2.0 billion/year or more, and the total production land area must be from 1.0 ha or more;- Livestock: The average production value must reach VND 2.0 billion/year or more, and must meet the farm livestock scale as prescribed in Article 52 of the [Law on Animal Husbandry](https://lawnet.vn/vb/luat-chan-nuoi-2018-563da.html) and its guiding documents;- Forestry: The average production value must reach VND 1.0 billion/year or more, and the total production land area must be from 10.0 ha or more;- Salt production: The average production value must reach VND 0.35 billion/year or more, and the total production land area must be from 1.0 ha or more.

- For mixed farms: The average production value must reach VND 2.0 billion/year or more, and the total production land area must be from 1.0 ha or more.
