Criteria for Assessing the Quality of Colleges and Intermediate Schools

This is a notable provision in Circular 15/2017/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the criteria and standards for quality accreditation of vocational education.

colleges, intermediate-level, and vocational education centers are quality-assessed according to the following criteria:

- Objectives, mission, organization, and management;- Training activities;- Teachers, management staff, public employees, and workers;- Programs, curricula;- Facilities, training equipment;- Financial management;- Student services;- Monitoring and quality assessment.

Each criterion corresponds to a specific benchmark. Vocational education institutions meet the standards if they fully satisfy the following requirements:

- The total assessment score of the criteria is ≥ 80 points;- The assessment score of each criterion is ≥ 60% of the benchmark;- The assessment scores of the criteria (Training activities; teachers, management staff, public employees, and workers; programs, curricula; facilities, training equipment) are ≥ 80% of the benchmark.

Circular 15/2017/TT-BLDTBXH is in effect from July 24, 2017.
