Criteria for appointment of members of Management Councils of public S&T organizations in Vietnam

Specifically, criteria for appointment of members of the Management Council of a public S&T organization in Vietnam are as follows:

- Being a public servant or official; (Compared to Vietnam's Circular 13/2017/TT-BKHCN, This clause is newly added)

- Having good political and moral qualities; be healthy enough to do the job; (New content)

- Not during the time of serving the disciplinary decision or being considered for disciplinary action, not in the cases of being banned from holding certain positions as prescribed;

(Remove the regulation of reprimanding or more within the last 5 years; add cases of not complying with the disciplinary decision and being banned from holding positions.)

- Having a university degree or higher with a major relevant to the assigned task;

- 3+ years of experience in the industry or a related field; (In Vietnam's Circular 13/2017/TT-BKHCN, it must be at least 60 months)

- Being of working age for at least 01 05-year term for civil servants and public employees; in special cases, report to the appointing competent authority for consideration and decision; (New content)

- Not a spouse; an adoptive parent; biological parents; biological children; siblings; a brother-in-law; a sister; a sister-in-law of the head, deputy head, or chief accountant of a public S&T organization; (Additional case of chief accountant)

- Other standards and conditions.
