Covid-19 Pandemic: Vietnam Temporarily Suspends Visa Exemption for 08 European Countries

Here is the notable content of Directive 13/CT-TTg on continuing to promote the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the new situation.

To minimize the spread, be ready and proactive in preventing and responding to the epidemic on a large scale, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has instructed ministries, ministry-level agencies, and People's Committees of provinces and central cities to strictly control entry by specific measures as follows:

- Strengthen control over people entering through air, land, and sea border gates; pay close attention to controlling entry through the southwestern border;- Temporarily suspend unilateral visa exemption and the validity of visa exemption certificates issued to Vietnamese residing abroad and foreigners who are spouses, children of Vietnamese in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Spain;- Minimize flights between Vietnam and epidemic areas and vice versa (including foreign airlines);- …
