Covid-19 epidemic: To consider allowing students to stay home and study online in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam issued Directive 79/CT-BGDĐT on some urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic in education and training institutions.

Implement Vietnam's Directive 05/CT-TTg of TTCP on a number of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, in order to ensure safety, effectively control and prevent outbreaks in education and training institutions, the Department of Education and Training requires the Departments of Education and Training; higher education institutions; pedagogical colleges and pedagogical secondary schools, cased on the epidemic situation in the locality, the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with relevant units to advise the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province or city on the decision to let preschool children, high school students, students in continuing education institutions leave school, the principals of higher education institutions, pedagogical colleges and intermediate pedagogical schools to consider, decide for students, students to leave school and conduct teaching and learning in the form of online.

In addition, strictly implement urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic under the direction of the government inspector and the Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control at education and training institutions. Review and strengthen the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures at educational institutions in the area; strictly implement solutions to ensure safety for preschool children, pupils, students, trainees, teachers, employees, and educational administrators.
