Courts of 12 Provinces and Cities with High-Risk Groups Continue to Suspend Trials Until April 22

Recently, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) signed and promulgated Official Dispatch 127/SPC-OA regarding the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.

To strictly implement the Prime Minister's conclusions at the meeting on April 15, 2020, the Courts located in high-risk provinces and cities comprising 12 localities: Hanoi, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Ha Tinh, will continue to strictly adhere to Directive 15/CT-TTg and Directive 16/CT-TTg; Directive 02/2020/CT-CA; Official Dispatch 118/TANDTC-VP, Official Dispatch 113/TANDTC-VP.

To be specific: these 12 provinces and cities will continue social distancing from 00:00 on April 16, 2020, until 24:00 on April 22, 2020, throughout the entire provinces and cities; continue to temporarily suspend trials and resolution of cases as per Directive 02/2020/CT-CA dated March 10, 2020, except for cases that have expired by the procedural time limit for resolution (including any extensions) and are mandatory for trial or meeting which must follow the procedural law regulations, but must implement good preventive measures against the pandemic.
