Courtrooms for Persons Under 18 Years of Age Must Be Arranged to Be Friendly

This is one of the courtroom arrangement principles stipulated in Circular 01/2017/TT-TANDTC dated July 28, 2017 of the Supreme People's Court.

Courtrooms handling cases under the jurisdiction of the Family and Juvenile Court must be arranged in a friendly manner, ensuring the best interests of individuals under 18 years old. To be specific:

- The positions of judicial officials, litigants, participants in the proceedings, and attendees are arranged on the same plane, following a round table format, with the walls painted blue;- Individuals under 18 years old participating in the proceedings at the trial are to sit next to their representative, defense lawyer, or person protecting their legal rights and interests;- Tables and chairs in the courtroom are designed in the style of office furniture.
