Continue to implement of certain Resolutions of the National Assembly on Thematic Supervision and Interpellation

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam assigns specific tasks as follows:

(1) For Land:

- Strengthen effective management of land originating from state-owned agricultural and forestry farms.

- Complete the construction of the national land information system and land database in a unified standard nationwide, linked with the population database.

- Address the lack of production land and homestead land for ethnic minorities.

(2) For Environment:

- Strictly and effectively implement the Law on Environmental Protection.

- Complete the national environmental protection planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

- Issue national environmental standards.

- Implement measures for waste segregation at the source, waste treatment, enhance reuse, recycling, and minimize waste landfilling.

- Urgently issue the set of economic - technical norms for waste segregation at the source, collection, transportation, and treatment of household waste.

- Increase the effectiveness of environmental monitoring activities.

- Propose policies, prioritize resources, formulate and implement plans for environmental pollution treatment, especially issues related to waste, wastewater, pollution in craft villages, industrial zones, industrial clusters, river basins, irrigation systems...

- Complete the national biodiversity conservation planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

(3) For Geology and Minerals:

- Strictly inspect and supervise, and rigorously handle unauthorized mineral exploitation.

- Implement both structural and non-structural measures to effectively prevent land subsidence and erosion.

(4) For Seas and Islands:

- Complete the overall planning for the sustainable exploitation and use of coastal resources for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

- Submit to the Government of Vietnam for the issuance of a decree on sea encroachment activities.

(5) For Meteorology and Hydrology:

Enhance the capacity for natural disaster forecasting and warning in Vietnam.
