Contents of planning for the 1920–1980 MHz and 2110–2170 MHz frequency bands for the IMT mobile communication system in Vietnam

The planning content of the 1920–1980 MHz and 2110–2170 MHz frequency bands for the IMT mobile information system is as follows:

- Plan the frequency bands 1920–1980 MHz and 2110–2170 MHz to deploy a mobile communication system according to IMT standards as follows:

+ The 1920–1980 MHz band is reserved for the uplink band, divided into 04 blocks: B1, B2, B3, B4, with a width of 15 MHz per block;

+ The 2110–2170 MHz band is reserved for the downlink band, divided into 04 blocks: B1', B2', B3', and B4', with a width of 15 MHz per block;

+ The maximum limit of the total bandwidth that a licensed organization can use in the bands 1920-1980 MHz and 2110-2170 MHz is 2x15 MHz according to the frequency division duplex transmission method (FDD2), except in the case of licensing for the band block being considered for re-issuance but using the same radio frequency as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 4 of the Law amending the Law on Radio Frequency 2022.

- The frequency bands 1920–1980 MHz and 2110–2170 MHz are used to deploy mobile information systems according to IMT-2000 standards and subsequent versions until September 14, 2028.

From September 15, 2028, these frequency bands will be used to deploy mobile information systems according to IMT-Advanced standards and subsequent versions.

- Organizations licensed to use the frequency band in the bands 1920–1980 MHz and 2110–2170 MHz are responsible for coordinating with each other to prevent harmful interference.

Decision 03/2005/QĐ-BBCVT approving the frequency band planning for Vietnam's IMT-2000 mobile communication system until 2015 in the 1900–2200 MHz frequency range expires on November 27, 2023.
