Content of People's air defense activities in Vietnam from July 1, 2025

The content of People's air defense activities in Vietnam is as follows:

- The content of People's air defense activities in peacetime includes:

+ Directing and commanding People's air defense;

+ Developing People's air defense plans;

+ Building People's air defense forces and formations;

+ Propagating, educating, and building model points on People's air defense;

+ Nurturing and training in People's air defense;

+ Training, competitions, and exercises in People's air defense;

+ Conducting People's air defense drills;

+ Constructing People's air defense works;

+ Organizing stations, observation posts, notifications, and air defense alerts, ready to counter unexpected enemy air attacks;

+ Managing the activity of unmanned aircraft and other flying vehicles;

+ Ensuring air defense safety; overcoming the consequences of incidents in People's air defense;

+ International cooperation in People's air defense.

- People's air defense activities in a state of national defense emergency or wartime are implemented according to regulations in Clause 1, Article 18 of the Law on People's air defense 2024 and the following content:

+ Reconnaissance, observation, detection, notification, alarm for People's air defense;

+ Monitoring the enemy's aerial attack developments;

+ Camouflage, deception, evacuation, dispersal, defense, avoidance, countering unexpected enemy air attacks, capturing enemy pilots, seizing unmanned aircraft, and other enemy flying vehicles;

+ Serving in combat and mitigating the consequences of enemy intrusions and aerial attacks.

Regulations on training in People's air defense in Vietnam from July 1, 2025

The training in People's air defense in Vietnam are regulated as follows:

- Core forces are nurtured and trained according to programs designed for each subject suitable to the requirements of national defense, security tasks, and the situation of localities, agencies, organizations, and enterprises.

- The general force is nurtured and trained in People's air defense expertise and skills according to the People's air defense activity plan of the locality.

- Agencies, organizations, and enterprises, based on their functions and tasks, coordinate and liaison with local military agencies to nurture and train specialized knowledge and skills to ensure the tasks of People's air defense.

- The content of nurturing and training in People's air defense expertise and skills is determined by the head of the agency or unit directing and commanding the People's air defense.
