Content of labor norms in air temperature monitoring in Vietnam

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Vitenam promulgates Circular 49/2024/TT-BTNMT dated December 31, 2024, issuing the economic-technical norms for the operation of the network of meteorological and hydrological stations.

Content of labor norms in air temperature monitoring in Vietnam

The content of the work shall be implemented according to the regulations in Circular 14/2022/TT-BTNMT promulgating the National Technical Regulation on Meteorological Observation, as follows:

(1) Field Work

- Observation preparation: inspect the condition of the construction, tools, measuring equipment (cleaning equipment, checking equipment), power supply, auxiliary equipment (replacing wet cloth in meter boxes), logs, and diagrams;

- Air temperature observation using thermometers: observe dry bulb, wet bulb, maximum, and minimum thermometers;

- Air temperature observation using automatic recorders: read temperature values, replace charts; mark charts;

- Observation site, construction: painting meteorological garden (includes painting fences, wind columns, shelters, measurement equipment stands), mowing garden, gardening soil for soil temperature measurement.

(2) Office Work

- Observation preparation: inspect the condition of the construction, tools, measuring equipment, power supply, auxiliary equipment, logs, and diagrams (cutting diagrams);

- Air temperature observation using thermometers: calculate average values and select extreme values;

- Air temperature observation using automatic recorders: diagram calculation, data verification;

- Encrypt data (data encoding);

- Enter data into software, transmit data.

Circular 24/2022/TT-BTNMT promulgates economic-technical norms for the operation of the hydrometeorological station network; Circular 20/2020/TT-BTNMT promulgates economic-technical norms for assessing the quality of surface hydrometeorological documents, which will become invalid from the date this Circular takes effect, except for the following cases:

Organizations and individuals that have been approved for tasks related to meteorological observation and quality assessment of hydrometeorological documents before February 14, 2025, shall comply with Circular 24/2022/TT-BTNMT and Circular 20/2020/TT-BTNMT.
