Conditions for trading in prize-winning video games for foreigners

On December 27, 2021, the Government issued Decree 121/2021/ND-CP on the business of prize-winning electronic games for foreigners.

Accordingly, a prize-winning electronic game enterprise is only allowed to organize prize-winning video games at a single business location licensed to do business by a competent state management agency. The business point must fully satisfy the following conditions:

- To be isolated from other business areas of the enterprise and have separate entrances and exits;

- There are electronic devices and camera systems to regularly monitor and monitor all activities in the Business Point (24/24h).

The images must be fully archived for at least 180 days from the date of recording and ensure clear images at the following locations: the entrance and exit area of the Business Point; the area where prize-winning electronic game machines are located; cashier area, treasury for counting cash and conventional currency and storing equipment for storing cash and conventional currency;

(Currently, images must be fully archived for a minimum of 30 days from the date of recording)

- Comply with the conditions of security and order...

- Having fully posted the entry and exit rules in Vietnamese, English and other foreign languages (if any) in a recognizable position at the entrance and exit of the Business Point.

Decree 121/2021/ND-CP takes effect from February 12, 2022.
