Conditions for passengers traveling by train in Vietnam from October 13

The Ministry of Transport of Vietnam has just released Decision 1782/QD-BGTVT promulgating temporary regulations on organization of advocacy activities passenger transport by rail ensures safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to the Decision, train passengers from a very high-risk, high-risk locality/area to a locality/area of ​​equal or lower risk:

- Must have had a full dose of Covid-19 vaccine (green card on Electronic Health Book/PC-COVID or certificate of the full dose of vaccine, the last dose was given at least 14 days) or recovered from Covid -19 within 6 months by the time of returning to the locality (with a hospital discharge certificate/certificate of recovery from Covid-19).

- Have negative test results for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR or antigen rapid test within 72 hours before boarding.

- Comply with 5K, make the medical declaration as prescribed (do not join the trip when having symptoms of cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat...).

- In case passengers are not eligible for vaccination as prescribed when travelling with relatives on the train: must meet regulations on testing, 5K compliance, and medical declaration.
