Conclusion on the development of physical education and sports in the new period in Vietnam issued by the Politburo

Specifically, in the coming time, to continue effectively implementing Resolution 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo, contribute to improving the health, and help Vietnamese people develop comprehensively and harmoniously, the Politburo requests Party committees at all levels, party organizations, government authorities, the Fatherland Front, and political-social organizations to focus on implementing the following key tasks:

- Enhance the responsibility of Party committees, party organizations, government authorities, the political system, and the people for the development of physical education and sports; integrate the goals, targets, and tasks of physical education and sports into the resolutions, strategies, plans, and socio-economic development programs and plans of the country, localities, and units.

Regularly lead, direct, inspect, and supervise the implementation of the Party's policies; closely coordinate between agencies and units in implementing the tasks of developing physical education and sports.

Promote propaganda, mobilization, and application of digital technology, enhance the role of mass media agencies, build channels of communication on physical education and sports to provide knowledge, physical activity skills, and related information to the people.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front, political-social organizations, and mass organizations coordinate in the propaganda and mobilization of members, youth union members, association members, and the people to actively participate in physical education and sports training associated with the campaigns of "encouraging the people to emulate Ho Chi Minh's habit of execising" and "uniting people in developing culture in communities"

- Improve the effectiveness of state management, early issuance of the Strategy for the development of physical education and sports until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Continue to improve policies and laws to meet the requirements of developing physical education and sports in the new period.

Pay attention to investment mechanisms, policies, and the and the development of infrastructure; professional sports; high-achieving sports; mass sports; physical education in schools; the legal framework for the sports economy; ownership, transfer, copyright exploitation, and sponsorship; and promoting socialization.

Amend and improve the regime and policies for training, nurturing, healthcare, housing, salaries, subsidies, and other incentives for athletes, coaches, and talents in the field of physical education and sports.

Implement the Comprehensive Plan for the development of physical fitness and the stature of the Vietnamese people in the period 2011–2030; build a system of indicators for physical fitness; and evaluate the Vietnamese people's physical fitness.

Improve the efficiency of using facilities and human resources. Focus on planning, training, and nurturing the leadership and management personnel, as well as those directly involved in physical education and sports.

Promote research, application of science and technology, cooperation, and international exchanges, contributing to improving knowledge sharing and experience between countries and peoples.

Promote the reorganization and transformation of public physical education and sports units towards autonomy, improving the quality of service supply in line with international standards.

Enhance transparency, accountability, regular inspection, and inspection of policy and legal compliance; timely guide the handling and removal of difficulties and obstacles; strictly handle violations of laws, corruption, and negative behaviors in the field of physical education and sports.
