Conclusion 127: The Politburo of Vietnam requests review and amendment of the Constitution before June 30, 2025

In Conclusion 127-KL/TW, the Politburo, and the Secretariat require reviewing, amending, and supplementing the regulations of the Communist Party, Constitution, and State law.

It assigns the Communist Party Commission of the National Assembly to preside and cooperate with the Communist Party Commission of the Government of Vietnam to direct the Communist Party Commission of the Legal and Judicial Committee, the Communist Party Commission of the Ministry of Justice, and relevant agencies to study the amendment and supplementation of certain articles of the Constitution concerning the organizational structure of the political system, reporting to the Politburo in early March 2025 to submit to the Central Committee of the Communist Party (via the Central Organization Commission) before April 7, 2025;

The deadline for completing the amendment and supplementation of certain articles of the Constitution is no later than June 30, 2025.

Additionally, it assigns the Central Organization Commission; the Central Inspection Committee; Communist Party commissions of central agencies; the Communist Party Commission of the Government of Vietnam; the Communist Party Commission of the National Assembly; the Communist Party Commission of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations, and relevant agencies during the preparation of such schemes to proactively review, propose amendments, and supplements to the Party Charter, regulations on implementing the Party Charter, work on inspection, supervision, discipline of the Party, on party congresses at various levels, on concluding the activities of district-level party committees and related regulations, guidelines of the Party regarding party building work, and the local party organizational system, reporting to the Politburo according to the overall progress, submitting to the Central Committee of the Communist Party before April 9, 2025 (to align with the progress of completing the central report).

It assigns the Communist Party Commission of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations to preside, cooperate with relevant agencies to study, amend, and supplement regulations and guidelines related to streamlining and consolidating the Fatherland Front agencies, sociopolitical organizations, and mass associations given tasks by the Communist Party and the State (at central, provincial, and commune levels), reporting to the Politburo, the Secretariat for consideration as per authority and completing no later than June 30, 2025.
