Composition of the Film Appraisal and Rating Council in Vietnam

Members of the Film Appraisal and Rating Council in Vietnam include:

- Chairperson;

- Vice president;

- Commissioners, including representatives of licensing agencies or broadcasting decision-making agencies, film experts, experts, and managers in related fields, ensure the principle of gender equality according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 31 of the Law on Cinematography.

- For the Appraisal and Rating Council for feature films and films combining many types; Council for appraisal and rating of documentaries, scientific films, animated films, and short films; Council for appraising and rating films participating in film festivals, specialized film festivals, thematic film festivals, film awards, film competitions, film programs, film weeks in Vietnam and abroad; The Chairman of the Council is a film expert, the Vice Chairman of the Council is a representative of the licensing agency, the authorized or decentralized licensing agency;

- For the Council for appraising and rating feature films and films combining many types, 2/3 of the Council members are film experts;

- For the Council of Appraisal and Rating of films participating in film festivals, specialized film festivals, thematic film awards, film competitions, film programs, Vietnamese and foreign film weeks, Council members include representatives of licensing agencies, film experts, experts, representatives of propaganda, security, diplomatic agencies and other relevant agencies;

- In case of necessity, the head of the licensing agency or broadcasting decision-issuing agency, after reaching agreement with the Chairman of the Council, may invite experts from other related fields to participate in consultation. Experts participating in appraisal receive remuneration according to current regulations.
