Changes in the conditions for being granted personal protective equipment in Vietnam

Below is the content at Circular 25/2022/TT-BLDTBXH dated 30/11/2022 stipulating the regime of granting personal protective equipment at work promulgated by the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam.

According to Vietnam's Circular 25/2022/TT-BLDTBXH, when working in contact with one of the following dangerous or harmful factors, they shall be provided with personal protective equipment:

- Exposure to physical factors does not meet hygiene standards.

(Currently, physical exposure regulations are bad.)

- Exposure to dust and toxic chemicals.

- Exposure to toxic biological factors:

+ Viruses, pathogenic bacteria, harmful insects;

+ Manure, wastewater, garbage, sewers;

+ Other toxic biological factors.

- Working with machines, equipment, and tools that pose potential hazards to occupational safety and health, as well as working in positions where dangerous working postures are likely to result in workplace accidents;work at heights; working in pits, where there is lack of oxygen; working at sea, in rivers, in deep tunnels, in confined spaces, in forests; working in rocky mountains, caves, or other dangerous and hazardous working conditions.

(Addition of working conditions with machines, equipment, and labor tools with potential hazards of occupational safety and hygiene; working in deep tunnels, in confined spaces, in rocky mountains, and in caves, compared to current regulations in Vietnam)

Vietnam's Circular 25/2022/TT-BLDTBXH takes effect from April 1, 2023 and replaces Vietnam's Circular 04/2014/TT-BLDTBXH.
