Change of time limits for establishment of new villages or neighborhoods in Vietnam

Accordingly, the time limit for establishing a new village or neighborhood in Vietnam is specified as follows:

- Within 10 working days from the day on which the satisfactory application sent by the People's Committee of commune is received, the People's Committee of district shall send a request (enclosed with the application for establishment of new village or neighborhood sent by the People's Committee of commune) to the Service of Home Affairs for assessment and submission to the People's Committee of province.

- The time limit for appraisal by the provincial-level Home Affairs Department is ten working days after receiving the report and the dossier of the district-level People's Committee.

(Fifteen working days before the expiry of the process).

Besides, the duration of the process of affiliation of a residential area to a village or street quarter in Vietnam shall also be changed as follows:

Within 10 working days from the day on which the valid application transferred by the People's Committee of the commune is received, the People's Committee of the district shall consider approving it and assign the President of the People's Committee of the district to issue a decision on affiliation of a residential area to an existing village or neighborhood.

(First, the time limit in the procedure shall not exceed fifteen working days).
