Recently, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 44/2018/TT-BTC to amend and supplement the levels of collection, policies for collection, remittance, and management of fees and charges in veterinary work and the appraisal and management of quality and food safety in the agricultural sector.

The fees for assessing quality management and food safety in the agricultural sector have been changed as follows:

- The fee for the assessment and issuance of export food certificates as required by the importing country, in cases where inspection and sampling at the enterprise are required, is reduced from 350,000 VND to 200,000 VND per shipment;- The fee for assessing knowledge confirmation of food safety in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors is standardized at 30,000 VND per person per instance;- The fee for periodic assessment of food safety conditions is 350,000 VND per facility.

Furthermore, several fees related to veterinary work, such as the issuance of animal and aquatic product inspection certificates, are also reduced.
