By 2025, 60% of state management agencies at all levels in Vietnam will have female key leaders

This is a notable content mentioned at the Decision No. 2282/QĐ-TTg issued on December 31, 2020 by the Prime Minister of Vietnam on the approval of the Program “Strengthening the equal participation of women in leadership and management positions at all levels of policymaking in the period 2021 - 2030”.

To ensure the equal participation of women in leadership and management positions at all levels in order to promote the potential and creativity of women, towards the goal of sustainable development on gender equality and women's empowerment, the Prime Minister of Vietnam sets out four key goals in part I of the Decision No. 2282/QĐ-TTg:

- Female key leaders of state management agencies and local authorities at all levels to reach 60% by 2025 and 75% by 2030. For some specific industries and fields where the percentage of female officials, public employees and employees is less than 30%, the target can be adjusted to suit the reality of the agency or unit;

- The proportion of female officials in the planning category for management and leadership positions at all levels will reach at least 40% by 2025 and 50% by 2030;

- The proportion of female officials in the planning category for management and leadership positions at all levels who are trained and improved capacity will reach 75% by 2025 and 90% by 2030;
