Before February 1: Department of Science, Technology and Environment of Vietnam's guidance on plan to develop National Standards for next year

Circular 01/2021/TT-BNNPTNT stipulate the proposal of an annual plan to develop national standards under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam as follows:

• The Department of Science, Technology, and Environment shall guide the formulation of a plan for developing standards for the next year on the Ministry's web portal and send it to the General Departments and Departments;

• According to their assigned fields, the General Department and the Department shall propose a plan for developing standards according to the provisions of Forms 3 and 4 issued together with this circular, and send it to the Department of Science, Technology, and Environment before the date of this circular. March 31 every year. The draft standard development plan is based on the following grounds: The approved 5-year plan; requirements for production and management practices; proposals of organizations and individuals;

• The Department of Science, Technology, and Environment synthesizes and evaluates the suitability of documents as a basis for standard development; drafts annual plans, develops standards and submits them to the Ministry for submission to the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam;

• The Department of Science, Technology, and Environment shall notify the Board of Science and Technology for the General Department and the Department to finalize the draft annual plan to develop standards.
