Bases for developing orientations of inspection program from May 30, 2024 in Vietnam

On April 08, 2024, the Chief Inspector of the Government of Vietnam promulgated Circular 04/2024/TT-TTCP stipulating regulations on the development and approval of the orientations of the inspection program and inspection plan.

Bases for developing orientations of inspection program from May 30, 2024 in Vietnam

- Resolutions, directives, conclusions, leadership documents, and guidance from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Phenomena; Resolutions of the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on economic, social, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.

- Resolutions, proposals, programs, and targets of the Government of Vietnam on economic-social affairs, national defense, security, and foreign affairs; decisions, directives, and guidance documents from the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

- Decisions, directives, and guidance documents from Ministers and Heads of ministerial authorities; Resolutions of the People's Councils, Decisions from the People's Committees of provinces and municipalities (hereinafter collectively referred to as provincial People's Committees) on economic-social affairs, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.

- Requirements for the prevention, detection, and handling of legal violations; requirements for the duties of inspection work, citizen reception, handling complaints and denunciations, and anti-corruption and negative phenomena efforts.

- Other bases as prescribed by law.

Principles for developing orientations of inspection program from May 30, 2024 in Vietnam

- Be conformity with the policies and lines of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the policies and laws of the State; guidance from superior state agencies; and the political mission requirements of the country, localities, sectors, and fields.

- Ensure clear assignment of tasks, avoiding overlap and duplication in the scope and time of inspections; ensure feasibility and resource efficiency.

- Comply with the authority, order, and procedures prescribed by the law on inspections, as guided in Circular 04/2024/TT-TTCP.

More details can be found in Circular 04/2024/TT-TTCP effective from May 30, 2024, replacing Circular 01/2014/TT-TTCP dated April 23, 2014, of the Chief Inspector of the Government of Vietnam regulating the development and approval of inspection program guidelines and plans.
